Project Optimus
Project Optimus was introduced to reduce environmental burden which can be achieved by saving energy consumption. A defined process has been created to carry out this project which revolves around eliminating air conditioning. It’s done through indoor to outdoor BTS conversion wherein existing Indoor Base Station gets converted to Outdoor Base Station eliminating the air-conditioning requirement. Another step to be taken in this process is free cooling units which are deployed in shelter sites with single/two sharers and switch off the air-conditioners.
Solar alternate energy solutions uses 4 KW capacity solar panels with and a 600 AH battery banks, which helps in reducing the DG running from 15 to 4 hours a day. The balance 20 hours is entirely powered by this solution. Wheeling of Renewable energy which can be accessed from Wind power plants where we have entered into Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the renewable vendor along with the SEB.
